Bangkok is a busy city and great for shopping. 

Pattaya has the largest and wildest Nightlife scene in Thailand and also accompanied with beaches. 

Phuket is a couple paradise, with romantic getaways, island type beaches.

Thailand 's main language is Thai. Although most tourist spots around Thailand can speak a handful of English.

Landmarks to check out in Thailand: Grand palace (Bangkok) and Floating Market ( Near Pattaya ) ( main few).

Thailand is reasonably cheap. Many expats choose to retire in Thailand due to its affordability. Many bars and guest houses in Thailand are owned by foreigners.

Foods to try :  Pad Thai (Thai style Fried Noodles) Alternatively you can try some bugs or insects if that floats your boat. However not to worry there are many western type restaurants and different menu in Thailand to choose from.
